The Pacific Peace Network (PPN) warmly invites peace advocates, civil society leaders, academics, and concerned citizens to attend the Pacific Peace Conference, taking place in Brisbane, Australia, on Saturday, 2 August 2025. This full-day event, hosted in a hybrid format, welcomes both physical and virtual participation and offers a unique opportunity to engage in dialogue, solidarity, and strategic planning for peace and justice across the Pacific region.
The Pacific Peace Conference aims to deepen shared understanding of the threats posed by militarisation and climate change, and to strengthen the collective movement for a nuclear-free, peaceful, and sustainable Pacific.

Talisman Sabre: The largest-ever military exercise on Australian territory, involving 19 nations and more than 30,000 troops. Participants will examine its implications for peace, regional sovereignty, and the environment.

-
Hiroshima and Nagasaki – 80 Years On: As we mark the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings, the conference will reflect on the humanitarian consequences of nuclear weapons and reaffirm our shared commitment to disarmament.
